Our Approach 

Our primary objective is to create a clear, concise and actionable plan to help you achieve your goals. 

Here is how the Advice-Only process works: 

1. Introductory Call 

We begin with an introductory call to help us understand your specific situation and needs. In simple terms, why did you decide to call us at this point in time. If we can be of service and we both agree that we are a good fit to work together we move on to the discovery meeting. 

2. Discovery Meeting

We have an in-depth discussion about your family, work, goals and all financial matters to help us organize your picture. We will review technical aspects (cash flow, assets, taxes, investments, benefits) and the human components (family dynamics, feelings about money, understanding of concepts etc.) of your current situation and help you identify what is most important to address. 

3. Analysis & Implementation

Our second meeting entails working together to educate you on options to meet your goals and then determining the clear next steps to start working towards those goals. 

In addition we make sure to identify any obstacles to your goals and address how best to eliminate or reduce them. 

We will hold your hand through the process or do the actual tasks where we are able. If you hire us to provide investment management we will do the work to consolidate your accounts. 

4. Ongoing: Spring Semester & Fall Semester Meetings

We watch over big picture events (economic, political, legal) recognizing what applies to you and what to ignore. We oversee your specific accounts and liberate you from the day-to-day management. We will meet twice yearly and have check-ins in-between our reviews. 

We meet each spring and fall (not at the start or end of the semester!) to review whether you are on track and to plan for the next time period. 

When life happens, we work together to address opportunities and challenges as they arise.
